You want to learn the ukulele, but you don’t know where to start. There are 4 main sizes of ukulele. They are constructed from a variety of wood, and there are several brands to choose from. With a little research you can find the right beginner ukulele for you.
The 4 Main Ukulele Sizes:
Before we dive into minor chords, let’s first figure out the 3 notes of a major chord.
Major Chord: Start from the root note then go up to the “3rd” note of that scale. This is called the “major 3rd”. To find out if that 3rd note is sharp or flat count up 4 half steps from the root note.

It is the 3 notes (or more) of a chord with the 7th note of the scale added.
Let’s first go back to what a chord is, it is 3 notes or more played together. We usually create chords by using the 1st, 3rd, and 5th notes of a scale. So, if we are creating a “C” chord, the 1st, 3rd, and 5th notes of the scale are C E and G. To make this chord a 7th chord we just need to add the 7th note of the scale – which is the B.
