Jay Capaldi – Guitar, Drums, and Ukulele Instructor, Sound Engineer, and Owner

Jay has over 25 years of experience as a professional musician and song writer. He has performed, recorded, produced, and taught all over the country, from Rhode Island to Los Angeles. He has worked with many Berklee College of Music grads as well as Grammy Award-winning producers. The bands he played in have opened for greats like The Romantics, Dane Zanes, The Ramones, Buzzcocks, and Throwing Muses.

Jay has shared his talents with a gamut of musical artists playing and working with members of Gloria Gaynor’s band, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Little Anthony and the Imperials, RI Hall of Fame’s musicians such as Eric Fontana, Grammy Award-winning engineer, Carter Humphrey (Rod Stewart and Engelbert Humperdinck), Los Angeles based sound engineer Scott Seyman from Barbra Streisand’s studio, and several Radio Disney artists.

Matt St. Jean – Piano Instructor

Matt has 16 years of classical training and three years of private piano teaching experience. He began playing the piano at five years old and quickly developed a love for the instrument.

His comprehension of theory, technique, arrangement, transcription and overall experience allows him to play all kinds of music, from the most complex classical pieces to today’s popular music trending on the charts.

Matt’s focus is in Romantic Era classical music featuring composers such as Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff and Schubert. His favorite pieces to play are Sonata Pathétique – Beethoven; La Campanella, Liebestraume no.3 – Liszt; Fantasie Impromptu, Nocturne in Eb, Étude no. 1 in Ab Major – Chopin; Rhapsody in Blue – Gershwin and many more. He loves playing themes from movies, including Disney, Star Wars, Avengers, and many others. His favorite genre to listen to and play is Rock&Roll.

He aspires to be a role model for all of his students and teach them all the techniques he learned so that they can love the piano and play their favorite songs for family and friends!
